I usually try to get the best value in components and findings, so that I can keep the prices of my jewelry low.

This means that I primarily use silver-plated or gold-plated findings (head pins, eye pins, clasps, chain, earring findings, jump rings, etc.).

If a precious metal (usually sterling silver, and VERY rarely 14k gold) is used, it will be clearly stated in the piece's description, as the price will be significantly higher with precious metals. More information on prices can be found under the Pricing link.

The silver colored earrings wires are surgical steel, and the gold colored ones are gold-plated surgical steel, which should be safe for persons with a nickel allergy. I am allergic to nickel, and I easily wear these earring wires with no reactions.

Also, I will state in the description what kind of bead is used in a piece of jewelry.

I usually use glass based pearls, as they are the closest in luster to genuine pearls. If freshwater pearls are used, it will be stated.

Some gems are genuine, some are imitation, but either way, they too will be clearly marked as to which they are.

If you have any questions regarding the materials I use in my designs, please feel free to e-mail me with the above link.
